Health and Safety Representative

The Transport Workers' Union of NSW is an approved Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training provider under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. We provide HSRs with an initial five-day HSR training course and one-day refresher courses thereafter. Both of these training courses fulfil the training requirements an HSR needs under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011.

Members win EA at Metro-Link

Members have made the final link to secure their rights and conditions at Metro-Link last Thursday when the company agreed to uphold the bus industry wide Agreement.

Gladys announces new bus contracts

On 7 November 2012, the NSW Government announced the successful tenders of four regions, with Westbus not making the cut, unsuccessfully maintaining two of its contracts in the Mt Druitt, Richmond and Windsor region as well as the Liverpool and Fairfield region.  The five-year contracts have been awarded to Busways and new bus operator Transit System Australia.
