Last week members at Metro-Link sent a clear message to the company that they deserved better and as a result won a wage increase which will be equal to that of the new private bus industry wide standard by July 2013.

On 7 November 2012, the NSW Government announced the successful tenders of four regions, with Westbus not making the cut, unsuccessfully maintaining two of its contracts in the Mt Druitt, Richmond and Windsor region as well as the Liverpool and Fairfield region. The five-year contracts have been awarded to Busways and new bus operator Transit System Australia.
